1 · Confirm symptom
Open the device in Inventory → Devices, click Live preview. If the stream is black for ≥ 5s, classify as black-frame.
2 · Auto-recovery
LENS will attempt three resets in 90s. Observe the Self-Healing badge; do not intervene unless it shows recovery exhausted.
3 · Manual triage
If auto-recovery fails: check ONVIF Profile S, verify PoE budget on the upstream switch, then RMA the device.
4 · Document
Add a comment to the incident ticket — root cause, action taken, time-to-resolve. LENS Intelligence will fold this into the model.
